Environmental sensors and data management

Speaker: David Chkhaidze

This summer school lecture aims to introduce students to the methods of data processing, accumulation, and visualization,  based on MAXIOT - Internet of Things technologies (IoT), InfluxDB - time-series database (TSDB), and Grafana - analytics and interactive visualization. Also, students will get to know the working principles of modern environmental monitoring equipment, considering the example of the construction of a simple measuring device based on the ESP32 - system on a chip microcontroller and temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors. During the lecture, the data generated from the measuring tool will be placed on cloud servers, and the data will be analyzed using the technologies mentioned above.
